Frequently Asked Questions
No. all of our buildings are delivered fully assembled to our customer’s site. By building our products in a manufacturing environment, we are able to better control our costs and deliver a very high quality, durable building at an affordable price
All of the standard buildings are available for rent-to-own. There are situations in which a customized building can require paying cash. Also, if a customer wants to modify the construction of their building or paint it, then it must be a cash purchase. Typically, though, you can add a wide variety of available options, such as six windows, or three doors. The type and size of building is a factor. We will happily consider every request on an individual basis. Call our sales number or contact your local dealer for additional information
As a general rule, most of our customization takes the form of our standard options. However, if you have a request that cannot be addressed with our available options, we encourage you to call us with your requirements. We can discuss the request with our builders and see if the modification is feasible and cost effective as a custom order.
A reasonably flat (as opposed to level) area is required – we will level the building to the existing terrain. The building does not need any additional foundation work such as gravel or concrete. We can certainly place the building on these foundations, however, they are not required for installatio
The three-week lead time allows us to construct the building, apply caulking and paint with adequate drying time, apply roofing shingles and work around any weather concerns that may affect the safe delivery of the finished product.
The installation includes placing and leveling the building on site. We do not remove obstacles or provide ground leveling services. The buildings are leveled to the terrain with treated wood blocks (ground contact rated). If you prefer, you can supply 4″ x 8″ x 16″ solid concrete blocks (1 block for every 4 perimeter feet) to use in place of the treated wood blocks. These must be on site at the time of the installation. Drivers may charge extra for extremely difficult deliveries.
Metal roofing is able to withstand wind, hail, and other elements of nature much better than a standard shingle roof, allowing you to avoid costly roofing repairs over time. These roofs can also last up to 50 years!
You may also be able to save through your home insurance as well by installing a rated metal roof.
Absolutely. A properly installed metal roof can save you up to 25% in energy costs compared to a shingle roof.
Yes. Metal roofing can be installed over an existing shingle roof, however we do recommend placing an underlayment between the metal and shingles. Corrosion can occur if an underlayment is not used and this will void your warranty. A barrier of Permafelt or 1×4 slats can be placed under the metal to maintain the warranty.
Closures are used to prevent moisture from entering your home. One would use solid closures on areas where no ventilation is required (i.e.: transition or certain ridges). Vented closures are used in areas where one would like a heat exchange to occur (i.e.: vented ridge).
For valleys and hips, we carry a product called Emseal that will conform to fill the ridges and flats of a panel.
